The conference will be held at the Universitat de Barcelona new campus for Humanities and Social Sciences in Barcelona, Spain, which is located in the heart of the city. UB offers excellent access to any part of the city. UB is very close of the major attractions can easily be linked in short travelling periods. The venue is in the growing technological district of Barcelona and only 4 stops away from Plaça Catalunya (the city’s central square).

Getting to the Universitat de Barcelona:

Rail:

From the main train station Barcelona-Sants take the R1 or R2 Rodalies train and get off at Barcelona-Clot-Arago station. 10 minute walk from Barcelona-Clot-Arago to the venue.

Alternatively, from Sants Estació metro station take the L3 metro line (direction: Trinitat Nova) and change to the L1 line at Espanya station (direction: Fondo). Get off at the Glòries stop. 10 minute walk from Glòries to the venue.

Air:

El Prat Airport is 15 km away from the city centre. Frequent services from the airport to the city. You can find all the information here. For getting to the venue from Plaça Catalunya take the L1 metro line (direction: Fondo) and get off at Glòries stop. 10 minute walk from Glòries to the venue.

Car:

Barcelona is located 150 km from La Jonquera, the French border. The French motorway network connects to the AP-7, N-II and C-32 Barcelona motorway. You can enter the city via the ring roads or the Avinguda Meridiana which leads to the centre.

From the south, if you're entering from the rest of Spain join the AP-7 or C-32 and enter the city via the Avinguda Diagonal.

Barcelona has a large number of car parks for cars, many of them located in the city centre. Parking rates range from 2€ and 3€ per hour to around 35€ for a whole day.

There are also paid parking areas in the street (blue zones + green area) and charges vary according to the zone of Barcelona.

Public Transport:

Metro, bus, tram are very friendly user and are the best way to travel within the city.
